2026 Gardener License & Contract

This document constitutes an agreement between the gardener (identified below) and the Estes Valley Community Garden (EVCG), whereby, in exchange for $80, the gardener will be granted a Gardener's License for an individual garden plot of forty square feet (10 feet x 4 feet) ("Plot") for the period from May 1, 2026 to October 31, 2026. Any additional plots purchased for an additional $80 will be subject to this same License.

EVCG is committed to providing gardening opportunities to low-income households by offering a limited number of sponsored plots at no cost to applicants. These plots are made possible through donations, grants, and the Garden’s available resources. The number of sponsored plots may vary each year depending on available funding and resources.

If you meet the requirements to receive a free gardening plot, we will contact you before May 1 to inform you of the status of your application, as plots are limited.

I wish to be considered for a sponsored plot AND I attest that I am eligible for a sponsored plot as my income falls within the income guidelines below.

Senior gardeners (65 years of age or older), gardeners with senior gardening partners, or those with special needs may apply for raised garden plots (originally built with a grant from the Village Thrift Store (VTS)).

While the tallest plots are designed with seniors and gardeners with special needs in mind, all plots in the Garden are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis and may be reassigned as space allows. We will notify you by May 1 of your plot assignment.

I would like to be considered for a Raised Garden Bed AND I attest that I am, and/or my gardening partner is (or will be) age 65 or older by June 1, 2026, and/or have special needs.

EVCG may be eligible for grants depending on the number/percentage of gardeners who served in the United States Armed Forces. Please choose one of the following:

YES, my gardening partner and/or I served in the United States Armed Forces.

NO, neither my gardening partner nor I served in the United States Armed Forces.

Please review each of the following terms and conditions to certify that the Gardener has read, understands, and will comply with these terms and conditions:

1. Each garden plot is assigned by EVCG to Gardener at the sole discretion of the EVCG Board of Directors. The EVCG Board will attempt to, but cannot guarantee, the assignment of the same plot used the year before by any returning Gardener.

2. The Gardener agrees to use the Plot according to EVCG's Garden Rules and Policies, which are available on the EVCG website and attached as an addendum to this License.

3. EVCG may terminate this License for violations of Garden Policies at any time in its sole and absolute discretion, by giving written notice to the Gardener of such License termination. EVCG’s License termination shall be effective immediately. In such an event, Gardener agrees to vacate the Plot, remove personal possessions, and shall not be entitled to any refund.

4. Gardener hereby grants EVCG and its representatives the right to take photographs and videos of Gardener and/or their plot in conjunction with Gardener’s participation in EVCG activities, events, and services. EVCG may use these images for any lawful purpose, including but not limited to publicity and EVCG electronic content.

5. Gardener agrees to release EVCG, Town of Estes Park, EVRPD, and their staff/volunteers from all liability, claims, or damages for personal injury or property loss related to garden participation, including claims arising from the negligence of said parties.

Following the confirmation below and payment of the applicable fees, this document constitutes a license agreement between EVCG and the gardener, valid from May 1, 2026 to October 31, 2026.

EVCG respects your privacy. This website does not automatically collect data; however, by submitting this form, the information you provide will be sent directly to EVCG so that we can finalize the purchase agreement for a plot of land. We will never sell your information or share your personal data with third parties. If you make a payment through this website, the information provided during the payment process will only be shared with payment processors.
